Comprehensive services to support your child’s speech and language needs

Screening

Screenings are free and available to all families who have speech and/or language concerns for their child. A screening is often the first step in the journey toward speech therapy services. Screenings are brief (15-20 minutes) and incorporate a parent interview, checklists and observations of the child. A screening helps to determine a child’s specific areas of need, and if comprehensive assessment of speech and language is warranted. Schedule your free screening today!

Evaluation

Evaluations in the areas of speech, language and fluency are available for children who are presenting with communication difficulties and delays. An evaluation is approximately one hour, depending on the areas being assessed. Standardized assessment measures, as well as non-structured means are incorporated to capture a comprehensive picture of the child’s strengths and weaknesses. This assessment will lay the foundation for an individualized and appropriate intervention plan.

Treatment

Therapy is evidenced-based and individualized for each clients specific needs and interests. Individual therapy sessions are provided on a weekly basis in-home to incorporate their daily environment and routine while teaching the foundational skills of great communication. Play therapy is frequently incorporated as it builds on the natural way that children learn about themselves and their relationships in the world around them. Parent participation in sessions is both welcomed and encouraged!

Parent coaching

Parent coaching sessions are designed to provide parents and caregivers with training and strategies in order to facilitate great communication at home. These sessions are conducted in a 1:1 setting over Zoom with step-by-step guidance to ensure you are confident and knowledgable in the most effective language stimulation strategies. Parent coaching sessions are a great way to gain lifelong tools, and increase confidence in your interactions with your child.
